  1. Pining for Pineapple

The prince of apples! Pineapples are loaded with vitamin C and manganese. Vitamin C contains antioxidants that boost your immune system and is necessary for growth, development and repair of body tissues. While manganese helps with building tissue and bones. So, start looking for a fine-apple!

Our tip: Pineapple contains an enzyme known as bromelain, which aids in reducing pain, swelling, and in breaking down protein. One cup of raw pineapple contains 19g of carbohydrates, which is equivalent to ½ cup of oats. Carbs are an essential component to preserve muscle mass- So use it in your post-workout shake with Mixed Berry HOU for that extra dose of vegan protein and carbs!
